Cannot tell you if there will be only pots and airplant holders, it all depends how successful and lucky I will be working with this material.

old and new

Another day I was looking on my Blog in Mobile version and I did like how it look. It helped me to come back to writing on my web site.

It shows less but looks more modern if you wish to say so :)

Couple days ago I received parcel from Latvia with different kind of old stuff from our childhood.

Our I mean my sisters and mine. We have 1 year difference in age so we had the same childhood experience.

Over the years so often we thought we will trow it all away. Give it all away. But there was always some strong nostalgic feeling. I just couldn't trow things from my memories away.

Me being hoarder helped a lot, I must say! Ha Ha Haa....

On these images I wanted to show you that old and new goes together so well.

That heavy solid glass triangle shaped dish and beige vase with ornaments come from our childhood.

Mam kept them behind the glass in shelving unit that everyone had at home those days. Hmm.

Air plant, copper pipe joints and yellow square candle are from now.

Costs nothing but complements my drear vintage pieces so well!

just quick catch up in march

haven't posted for some time and only because it's Aprils fools let's get some post out in March...

This globe I bought some time ago in TKmaxx and by the words of my husband i ruined it by painting and doing all that stuff i do always by wrecking the things.

Ha Haaa.. that's the part I love doing. The moment I get some thing in carboot sale or buy in the shop .... i have an idea for the item ... most often it is repainting, restyling, changing colour, breaking it, taking apart and making different thing.....

By this time you have probably realised that I have about hundred of projects started and half done around the place.

Ha haaa... not that funny for me some time.

But that is the way I am and I have always been. And it has been some time of observation but there is very little that changes.

I fairness I have completed good few projects and they have been sold there and then but don't be disheartened there are bucket loads of stuff still to finish up...

See those copper pipe joining pieces I bought in DIY store ... my usual behavior. Oh yea! I want to make something from cement for my airplants or winecork succulent holders or something like that ... like candle holders ...

And again I have to promise myself to sort out that fuck bucket...

The last in October

I am so totally feeling guilty for neglecting my dear web site!

It's the same level of guilt as working full time when you have small kids at home to look after.
I bet it is. I don't know but I'm pretty sure it's close to that :D

I have to post at least once a month! From beginning I thought that twice a week is great to post about happenings in the DCA den. Then later once a week - yea, just perfect.

Now when I look back on last few months it is once a month I've managed

There where holidays to Tenerife. Hot Hot Hot! Nice all together. So no time to post and hey! who wants to look at blue sky and palm pictures and you in the swimming pool when back home storm, almost hurricane is going on.

Then back to work and evenings are getting darken and shorter. Saying all this I forgive myself for not being on the web site once a week, I forgive myself of doing nothing with my craft at the moment. Even thou I feel restless ALL the time...

Christmas is approaching! and I can see that many of my millions ideas will not be possible to complete.

There is tiny tiny hope that some of it will! It's Christmas miracle, people!

seasonal decorating - how it looks in my gaf

I am quite sure that normal people ... normal people ha ha... don't have multiple boxes under beds with labels like "Halloween stuff", "Deers", "Easter", "X-mas lights" etc. All those labeled boxes and baskets I have are all purposed for indoor decorating as the seasons go and come.

My PC is simple piece of technology and I don't own any fancy software for editing and retouching images and sometimes I just give up and don't post anything for a while. Extent of my editing is Picasa. So I just want to try to make a decent display of my season decors I've done in my gaf.

Let's start with my current - Coastal decor.

It is not that bad with me. I only have my decorating hands on this mantle piece and a wall but as you see I can fit quite substantial amount of stuff into this small space.

Just before it was Easter bunnies everywhere

I LOVE MY TOPIARIES! This vintage look egg tree can be used every year. Just realised I have roll of artificial grass at home!

Heavy season! Christmas

Last X-mas and year before. Moss is one of my favorite materials to work with. If I could or rather if it would sell I would make decors mostly with natural materials.

I have my fancy sleek camera so now I can take fancy and sleek photos! ;)

I haven't given up on making Christmas decors and trowing them into the big world, meaning Etsy.
At the moment I work away on wooden wall plaques and that kind of stuff.

Slowly and surely I'm getting over my "blue" obsession because autumn is on the doorstep with all its deep and juicy colour palette.

Fall yall!

Jees it is a long one! Almost there, almost there! Just Halloween left....

Halloween madness!

I don't celebrate Halloween but I had so many little pieces sourced and I have this board on Pinterest - Crafts to try that I just couldn't let it go by so easy. After last years Halloween I have another box of Halloween stuff under my bed.

I love every little bit I made for this decor. Cool, isn't?

This post is taking ages! :)))) a year long! actually it's not all, because sometimes I have decorating rush between the seasons. I just come up with some kind of idea or I have bought a piece in TKMAXX .... again. I love their household section sooo sooo much, if only I would be rich...
