My first up cycling project

This chair reminded me the ones at my grandmother home. I have really nice memories of my childhood in that house. So I thought if I have this chair it will remind me of my grandmother’s  home and garden and time we, my sister and me, spent there as a kids.

There was very little sanding needed. Just a bit warnish to get rid off. I applied white base coat and then 2 layers of pale
blue water-based paint. I did not distressed to look yet by sanding edges. Will leave that for another time!

And look at that garden. I cannot believe it was my garden. To watch it blossom makes me sooooo happy! :)

I got this chair in carboot sales this summer.
As a complete starter I forgot to take pictures of Before and After.
But I'm learning :)

Old / New Letter box

And again, good old car boot sales :)
An old scruffy wooden love-letter box.
I sanded it down, painted with white primer.
No point cutting corners!
Then I put a layer of pale green paint, sanded the shine off, then painted again and distressed with sandpaper.

Chair Number 2

This was much more complicated than the first one you can see in my gallery before.

This turned out weeks long project. But it is coming to and end soon. ..

I bought Paint remover as there were too many layers of paint. And to my surprise and many negative reviews on internet, it actually worked!

Finished and done...
