I have 7 thousand pictures and videos only on my phone ...

and I am loosing battle of organizing it all. I have purchased extra space on Drive, uploaded rake of stuff on Hard drive. I don't have skill and patience to think it through and organise my stuff. You know what, creative people often are chaotic and messy!

That's me all over!
Just scrolled on my phone and of course I see many projects I have not shared with yous :)
Makeover of this vintage but scruffy multiple times varnished drawer unit to light grey sleek and fresh piece of furniture, the Swan of a drawer unit.
I do a lot of painting in my house lately, especially with the covid lockdowns and boredom of this unusual situation in our times and lifes but if I am honest I rather prefer painting and restyling furniture pieces or different kind of homewares.

So there it is my final piece of chest of drawers sitting proudly in our bedroom and holding my bits and bobs.

Adding swanky moldings and copper colour drawer pulls, and shiny copper stencil on deep.

Fact that we are not renting anymore makes a huge difference for me as a creative head.

I can do what ever I want: paint walls any colour, rip the floor out and then run out of money to replace it :))) or just do, as I say, temporary solution, a bit of paint there and there just to keep up with appearances as save money for bigger and more substantial repairs.

I cannot wait when charity shops will open again and I will be able to root through for charming treasures.

Lamp, mirror and drawer unit  in our bedroom they all are cheap second hand finds restyled and recycled to my liking.
Chat to you soon... hopefully
Next might be post about my leather puff painting..
Cheers

These days more than ever I need something to ease anxieties...

I have thought about restarting my writing here more times than words in this post. I have been procrastinating so much that I am 100% pro at it! It is not really a reason to be proud...

There is one thing that helps me, knowing that I am not alone in this maze of manic thoughts marathon... Third lockdown is shit!

However there is no bad without good.

When I look back, last year has been good to us. We are one year in OUR home. Have done so much to be warm and comfortable.

I have earned no money this year and spent all I had on the house in beautifying efforts. Ooh, how I loved that part! The spending, I mean! :D

And of course decorating part has been blessing in these times.
Some might think I have done all house but its only one room and hallway that is 99% complete. I plan and do it all by myself with help of my husband for heavy stuff and extra dirty parts, like tiling.

I am the one sitting on the hooole while my husband works all the way through this covid saga.

I have been so lucky to be able to source materials and bits and bobs online and at most part in local stores. I would love to get everything locally but in Ireland that is IMPOSSIBLE. And that is very very sad!

I cannot justify my complaining, it will all pass. By the summer it should.
Just a week ago or so I have gone on a mad dash!
Booked 4 online courses to learn new skills and create some stuff. Ordered materials I will be using and feeling very upbeat.

Pumped up, lads ! feeling pumped up!

I might be just influenced and unconsciously guided by that Vision Board I made for 2021.
Year doesn't matter, but timeline is kinda important.

It is Joanne Condon's short course of How to make Vision Board.

I think I made mine quite right because every time I look at it, it makes me smile. Just leaves me feeling happy. Calms me bloody nerves!!!
Roll on 2021!!!!
I am ready, armed with cement bags, carving tools, paint cans, plywood sheets, saws and staplers, galore of books to read....
Talk to you soon

Back in May I had anniversary of my  absence on my blog and website and I thought I will come back with great blog post of all the wonderful things I was doing and beautiful projects I completed...

Nothing happen!

It is September and I am dragging myself back to where I was and enjoyed to be.
Which is having a little chitchats about my artsyfartsy projects.

Is this like taking up running and hating it at first?

...and after some time when you have done more running, it gives you joy!?

Yep!?

I am not runner or gym goer but I thought i'ts the same take.

if I'm honest i don't know any household ... any at all, where décor has been moved around like in my house. I know it's trendy in America but i think if people would know how it's I'm my house they would think I'm bonkers. hmm...
click on this link to spring décor
and now when easter celebrations are over I have to think about summer. summer décor. ahh, I wish I could just let it be and don't change stuff around.
lazy décor for this year... anyone! something that I don't want to move! that's the key! I have to look at it and don't think ahh sure, next will be fishing net and urchins hanging from my mantle piece or should I drill few more hooks for few more wall art which I have plenty off.

maybe you know if there are any vitamins for laziness :) or against creativity urges.
hmm... i kinda like to do seasonal changes indahouse. Like, yesterday I changed my kitchen table cloth with new oilcloth in cappuccino polka dot. da! :D and pulled out our placemats.. fancy!
and today struggling to keep my hands still with newly purchased cement background for photos. I think I know what I gonna do! ill take new images for my cement pots and plants.
or try that photo Speedlight on some kinda funky project, like photographing water drops falling or maybe still life....
ahh sure
and why not.

From beginning I thought I like more the stylish porcelain bunny pinky wreath but I kind of love the funky yellow couple wreath because it makes me smile... telling you!
Something new has hopped in into my shop today :)))
Finished two Easter wreaths for Etsy shop.

"The happy couple" and "Bunny abundance". That's how I named them. Don't laugh :)))

Go and check them out on Etsy! And drop me a line which one you like more.
