Hold on to creativity...

These days more than ever I need something to ease anxieties...

I have thought about restarting my writing here more times than words in this post. I have been procrastinating so much that I am 100% pro at it! It is not really a reason to be proud...

There is one thing that helps me, knowing that I am not alone in this maze of manic thoughts marathon... Third lockdown is shit!

However there is no bad without good.

When I look back, last year has been good to us. We are one year in OUR home. Have done so much to be warm and comfortable.

I have earned no money this year and spent all I had on the house in beautifying efforts. Ooh, how I loved that part! The spending, I mean! :D

And of course decorating part has been blessing in these times.
Some might think I have done all house but its only one room and hallway that is 99% complete. I plan and do it all by myself with help of my husband for heavy stuff and extra dirty parts, like tiling.

I am the one sitting on the hooole while my husband works all the way through this covid saga.

I have been so lucky to be able to source materials and bits and bobs online and at most part in local stores. I would love to get everything locally but in Ireland that is IMPOSSIBLE. And that is very very sad!

I cannot justify my complaining, it will all pass. By the summer it should.
Just a week ago or so I have gone on a mad one!
Picture
Booked 4 online courses to learn new skills and create some stuff. Ordered materials I will be using and I AM feeling very upbeat.

Pumped up, lads ! feeling pumped up!

I might be just influenced and unconsciously guided by that Vision Board I made for 2021.
Year doesn't matter, but time line is kinda important.

It is Joanne Condon's short course of How to make Vision Board.

I think I made mine quite right because every time I look at it, it makes me smile. Just leaves me feeling happy. Calms me bloody nerves!!!

Roll on 2021!!!!
I am ready, armed with cement bags, carving tools, paint cans, plywood sheets, saws and staplers, galore of books to read....
Talk to you soon

well, this is going to be last post in may :)

just before going away to my sister I decided to go ahead with some long time ago purchased general finishes milk paint in super sunny yellow.

just had that feeling that the one solid wood shelve unit I have need something.

I decided it needs a lot of yellow :)

a have not done furniture painting for some time now and I felt like I have lost some skill but hey!! little bit of head scratching and it was not so bad.
I glued scraps of wallpaper on the back plywood and covered with clear  top coat I had bought general finishes as well.
I needed couple of coats of zinsser primer and many many coats after of yellow paint
pfuu, I have forgotten that yellow is difficult colour to work with. it requires many layers of paint to cover nice and smooth.

anyways, that's done now! i'm delighted I did it and now just have to wait for perfect place to have it!
for now it will emit light in our bathroom! it is indeed shining yellow light.

if I'm honest i don't know any household ... any at all, where décor has been moved around like in my house. I know it's trendy in America but i think if people would know how it's I'm my house they would think I'm bonkers. hmm...
click on this link to spring décor
and now when easter celebrations are over I have to think about summer. summer décor. ahh, I wish I could just let it be and don't change stuff around.
lazy décor for this year... anyone! something that I don't want to move! that's the key! I have to look at it and don't think ahh sure, next will be fishing net and urchins hanging from my mantle piece or should I drill few more hooks for few more wall art which I have plenty off.

maybe you know if there are any vitamins for laziness :) or against creativity urges.
hmm... i kinda like to do seasonal changes indahouse. Like, yesterday I changed my kitchen table cloth with new oilcloth in cappuccino polka dot. da! :D and pulled out our placemats.. fancy!
and today struggling to keep my hands still with newly purchased cement background for photos. I think I know what I gonna do! ill take new images for my cement pots and plants.
or try that photo Speedlight on some kinda funky project, like photographing water drops falling or maybe still life....
ahh sure
and why not.

:))) when you think?! All this social media conundrum is your foot print, your digital footprint that will be there FOREVER! Kids! FOREVER! So make sure you leave a nice one!

On this totally miserable day when there is NOTHING else to do other than cuddle up in the bed with laptop and attempt another post possibly.

Before I give up my glue gun and decorative egg stash I wanted to try lightbox for better photos and take a few repeat product photos.
Picture

I tried out lightbox even I don't have proper lights yet. I ordered them  just have to wait and pray that they will arrive. Actually from Aliexpress everything arrives sooner or later. They are very organised there I must say. Seller does not receive payment until buyer confirms delivery. Very organised indeed.
So up here in the gallery you can see my efforts of taking some pics in lightbox with white and black backgrounds. Oh my! Why there is so much mini dust visible on the black one and white balance! where are you?
All I can tell you I am shit at photography and even more on the editing :///// I need to learn a bit more photography art and conker my camera who is not at fault here. There is something I do wrong.
Oh Yea, I forgot to tell you that I actually bought photography course with online coupons which was a scam and on the bright side I got my money back.

At the end of this verbal diarrhoea I shall admit that there are bunch of decent photos. But bloody hell, the struggle is real!

Ciao

From beginning I thought I like more the stylish porcelain bunny pinky wreath but I kind of love the funky yellow couple wreath because it makes me smile... telling you!
Something new has hopped in into my shop today :)))
Finished two Easter wreaths for Etsy shop.

"The happy couple" and "Bunny abundance". That's how I named them. Don't laugh :)))

Go and check them out on Etsy! And drop me a line which one you like more.
