This one I will be keeping for myself because I like it too much!
Want to show you the transformation of one of my old wooden Christmas stocking hangers which nobody needed and had been neglected in my shed.
It's like the story of transformation of ugly duckling into the swan. Exactly that exciting! :D

So this is my DIY old and lovely stocking hanger. Recycled wood painted in traditional festive colours. I had it in few Christmas markets but nobody really fell for it. It's been in my shed for quite some time. It's amazing how one creative brain works. It's like trainspotting. Trying to catch images/ideas from the mega fast passing by train (fast working and easily forgetting creative persons' brain). Enough philosophizing, let's show you my beauty! |
The old hanger has been sanded, painted in different colors in layers, sanded again, decoupaged a little bit. I replaced majority of hooks with different drawer pulls I had in my stash.
Finishing touches with finger dipped in paint and I am happy person with this jewelry hanger in my hands walking around the rooms trying to find THAT perfect place to hang it.
Oh, it will be handy for my scarves as well.
The best wishes
Dace
p.s. I must have another one of those Christmas hangers some where left...
and i should remember to add this to my gallery...
